Riverside Plaza Mural on the Vitamin Shoppe

A beautiful large new mural depicting the Riverside Plaza and nearby businesses in the Magnolia Center in earlier times has been painted on the west-facing side of the Vitamin Shoppe (3660 Central Ave, Riverside, CA).  There are also two nice paintings of vintage automobiles within the mural. The lead artist was Mano Mirande (@_mano_man_) of Manoymano_productions (@manoymano_productions) who worked with Jennifer and Jacob Gamble and possibly other artists to complete the mural.  The last two photos show two of the artists at work.  There is also a short video on their Instagram pages showing the painting of the mural.

Skate Park Mural at Bobby Bonds Park

A colorful new mural has been painted on the sides of the skate park at Bobby Bonds Park (at about 4061 Douglass Ave.).  It is labeled Inspired Custom Arts and, based on an Instagram post, was painted by Ron Del Cid (@rondeezyyyy) and Alexis Mercado (@alexismercado__). Because of the difficulty of seeing the entire mural, I made a short video of it which can be seen on my YouTube channel.

Camp Anza and Support for the Troops - Art Box

Along the parking lot adjacent to City Hall (3900 Main St, Riverside, CA 92501) there are two utility boxes that have been wrapped with digital prints on film spotlighting Camp Anza, its history, and support for our troops. Camp Anza was a military camp and staging area during World War II that was located in the western part of Riverside in what is now known as the Arlanza area. The utility boxes are located to the south of City Hall along 10th Street.  They are part of the Box Art project directed by Leadership Riverside 2015. The artist who executed the work is unidentified but is most likely Shannon Murphy of Colibri Communications who designed the other Art Boxes.
