Floral Electrical Box at Corner of Brockton Ave. and Garden Home Court

The electrical box, at the corner of Garden Home Court and Brockton Ave. (4087 Garden Home Ct, Riverside, CA), has recently been painted in an attractive floral motif.  The artist was Katya Orovie @orlovie, a local muralist and painter. 

President-themed Electrical Boxes: a America 250 Recognition

As part of the America 250th Anniversary celebration, electrical boxes along several Riverside streets or elementary schools named for American presidents have been wrapped with vinyl covering depicting the American flag.  On one side there is also a short tribute and a picture of selected American presidents.  Below are photos of some of the boxes with their locations. The designers of the art covering the boxes are unknown.

Arlington Business District Electrical Boxes

Several electrical boxes along Magnolia Ave. in the Arlington Village area of Riverside have been covered with vinyl wraps emphasizing the history of the area and the Arlington Business District. The boxes are along Magnolia Ave. north of Van Buren Blvd. For example, there is one at the intersection of Magnolia Ave. and Douglas Ave (9194 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA).  Another one is at the intersection of Magnolia Ave. and Jackson St. (9111 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA). Photos of the boxes are shown below.  The designer and artists are unknown.

Palm Tree-sporting Electrical Box on Jurupa Ave.

An electrical box, at the corner of Jurupa Ave. and Riverside Ave. (5790 Riverside Ave, Riverside, CA), has recently been painted in orange and yellow with pictures of branches of leaves, palm trees and the sun.  The artist was Katya Orovie @orlovie, a local muralist and painter.

De Anza Theater History on Electrical Box

The history of the De Anza Theater with lots of photos is described on a nearby electrical box (4225 Market St, Riverside, CA).  The building now houses Clark's Nutrition, a Natural Foods Market. It joins a number of similar historical descriptions on other boxes downtown.  The designer and author are unknown.

New Purple Electrical Box on Olivewood Ave.

An electrical box, at the corner of Olivewood Ave. and Ramona Dr. (3401 Ramona Dr. Riverside), has recently been painted in purple with pictures of leaves, bougainvillea and olives (a nod to its location?).  The artist was Katya Orovie @orlovie, a local muralist and painter.

An electrical box near the entrance to the Poly High parking lot has been decorated with photos and text describing the history of the high school.  The designer and artist responsible are unknown.

Floral Electrical Box at Intersection of Magnolia and Jurupa Avenues

A new floral painted electrical box has recently appeared at the intersection of Magnolia and Jurupa Avenues (about 5958 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA).  A supplemental box has been attached to one of the sides of the original box which covers the artwork on that side and unfortunately also blocks the artists name, so the artist is no longer identifiable.

Second Electrical Box Describing the Stalder Building History

A second electrical box to the north of the old Stalder Building (6th Street and Market) in downtown Riverside has been wrapped with a vinyl coating with photos, artwork, and a description of the history of the building.  It is part of the newly identified Arts and Culture District.  The artist and authors are unknown.

White Park History Illustrated on Electrical Box

The electrical box in front of White Park (3901 Market St, Riverside, CA) in downtown Riverside has been wrapped with a vinyl coating providing a brief history of the park combined with photos and artwork.  It is part of the newly identified Arts and Culture District.  The artist and authors are unknown.  One side of the box is near the fence and was difficult to photograph and so the three sections on that side are show separately at the end.  I am sad to say that essentially all of the cacti described on the box are no longer in the park.  I was told that the last grouping was removed a month or two ago.  Apparently one fell over on a visitor. I am sure that that wasn't pleasant.
