New Immanuel Lutheran Elementary School Murals

The mural on the playground of the Immanuel Lutheran Elementary School (5455 Alessandro Blvd, Riverside) has been repainted and now sports a roadrunner, the school mascot, on a rainbow with a cross in the sun.  The artist is Natalie Nicole @nat_spiralz.  Update: June 28, 2026.  There is also a mural showing a cross and hands on the back of the wall.  A photo of it is below.

New Central Middle School Murals

Central Middle School (4795 Magnolia Ave., Riverside) has many new murals illustrating bear cubs, the school mascot, their paw prints, and polkadots, as well as labels with aspirational messages. The artists who made all of these are unknown. Although based on a recent Instagram post, they are affiliated with Ruhnau Clarke Architects.

Tiger-themed Murals at Taft Elementary School

A series of murals have recently been painted at Taft Elementary School (959 Mission Grove Pkwy N, Riverside, CA).  They have a tiger theme and are related to the school mascot.  They are unsigned and the artists are unknown.  Update: May 22, 2026.  There is a similar new mural on a small new building near the bus drop-off area to the northeast of the main building (photo below).

Poly High History on Electrical Box

An electrical box near the entrance to the Poly High parking lot has been decorated with photos and text describing the history of the high school.  The designer and artist responsible are unknown.

Casa Blanca Elementary School Entrance Mural

A new mural featuring prominent aspects of the history of the Casa Blanca area has been painted at the entrance to the Casa Blanca Elementary School (7351 Lincoln Ave., Riverside, CA) school yard.  The orange growing history of the area, the murals on Lincoln Ave., the palm trees, the local KPRO radio station and a Raincross-bearing pavilion are shown. The mural is unsigned but based on an Instagram post, I believe that the mural was painted by local muralist Mano Mirande @_mano_man.

STEM Mural at Casa Blanca Elementary School

A new STEM-themed mural has been painted at the new Casa Blanca Elementary School (7351 Lincoln Ave., Riverside, CA).  Interestingly the illustrations within each letter represent tools or symbols used by each discipline. The mural is unsigned but based on an Instagram post, I believe that the STEM mural was painted by local muralist Mano Mirande @_mano_man.

Ben Franklin Elementary School Courtyard Mural

Recently I was able to get inside the fence and get better and more complete photos of the courtyard mural at Ben Franklin Elementary School (19661 Orange Terrace Pkwy, Riverside, CA).  I am pretty sure these were painted by Tom Seibert and his group at Murals for Schools @muralsforschools as were the murals that face the street.

New Magnolia Elementary School Murals

Magnolia Elementary School (3975 Maplewood Pl, Riverside, CA) has recently been repainted and now sports a couple of simple new murals showing the name of the school and its mascot, the falcon. The artist is unknown.

Scholarship Prep School Murals

A beautiful mural has been painted at the new Scholarship Prep School (9707 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA) on Magnolia Avenue. Construction is still occurring at the school so I had to take these photos from the adjacent sidewalk.  I was told the school will be open on Aug. 11 so one will likely be able to get closer photos then.  According to an Instagram post, the artist was Brian Peterson @brianpetersonart and the mural was completed in 4 days - pretty amazing.

Monroe Elementary School Murals

Monroe Elementary School (8535 Garfield St, Riverside, CA) has a series of attractive murals its name and its mascot, the tiger. The murals are unsigned but given the style, location and quality, I am pretty sure that they were painted by Tom Seibert and his group at Murals for Schools @muralsforschools.  Some very similar tiger-themed murals can be found on their website.
