The Arlington Village bus stop on Magnolia near Jackson Street (9229 Magnolia Ave., Riverside CA) has an attractive picture depicting part of an old orange crate label. A picture of the complete Monte Vista Brand label can be seen in the Los Angeles Public Library digital collection. The designer of the bus stop is unknown as is the artist who designed the orange crate label.
A new mural featuring prominent aspects of the history of the Casa Blanca area has been painted at the entrance to the Casa Blanca Elementary School (7351 Lincoln Ave., Riverside, CA) school yard. The orange growing history of the area, the murals on Lincoln Ave., the palm trees, the local KPRO radio station and a Raincross-bearing pavilion are shown. The mural is unsigned but based on an Instagram post, I believe that the mural was painted by local muralist Mano Mirande @_mano_man.

In 2006, the Art Alliance of the Riverside Art Museum held a Giant Orange Artventure to raise money for the museum. Thirty-two large oranges were sponsored and displayed at various locations in downtown Riverside. As can be seen elsewhere on this blog, eight of the original oranges can still be found throughout Riverside. Below are photos of oranges that are no longer displayed that I took when the oranges were on public display in 2006. I am including them on this blog to keep an online historical record of these works of art.

There is an orange- and Riverside-themed mural in the back and several pieces of artwork in the front of the Mark Harris Dental Office . The mural entitled, "“A Walk Through the Orange Groves” was painted by local artist Noel Goin in 2025. The artists of the other pieces of art are unknown. Monroe Elementary School (8535 Garfield St, Riverside, CA) has a series of attractive murals its name and its mascot, the tiger. The murals are unsigned but given the style, location and quality, I am pretty sure that they were painted by Tom Seibert and his group at Murals for Schools @muralsforschools. Some very similar tiger-themed murals can be found on their website.

A new series of murals have been painted on the outside of the restrooms at Arlington Park (3860 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA). They depict the history of the Arlington Village, the Youth Innovation Center and the Ward 5 Community. A plaque indicates that the mural was painted by Kristine Lippire, California Baptist University art students, and volunteers from the community. The mural was sponsored by the Arlington Business Partnership in collaboration with the Arlington Community Action Group.

A new Arlington Village marker has been erected on Magnolia Ave. (9129 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA) 5 or 6 blocks north of Van Buren Blvd. It is designed like an orange crate label and shows an illustration of the old Monte Vista Citrus Association building. The artist is unknown.

An outside wall of the Aspire Apartment building (3881 3rd St, Riverside, CA) has been painted with a colorful mural with panels of altering floral and citrus motives. The mural is unsigned but an Instagram post indicates that the artist was local muralist Darren Villegas @darren.vs.drama.

There is an attractive new citrus-themed mural on Northrop Drive (about 7505 Northrop Dr, Riverside, CA) to the east of Panera Bread (505 E Alessandro Blvd, Riverside, CA). I recently discovered it while out riding. It was painted by @hahahorton.
