"Rise" Mosaic on Market Street

The "Rise" mosaic is located at 3868 Market Street, Riverside and made was in response to the tragic deaths of black men and women in recent years.  As described on the plaque adjacent to the mural, "this community mosaic is an amalgamation of figures to showcase the beauty and resilience of black excellence in its various walks".  It was created by a group of approx. 15 artists. I understand that the lead artist or organizer was Erin Maxwell of Maxwell Mosaics @maxwell_mosaics.
