On the walls of the underpass where Tyler Street passes under the 91 freeway (about 3451 Tyler St., Riverside) are two large paintings showing people engaged in various recreational activities. The artist appears to be named camo which is written in the northeast corner (see 2nd photo).
North side
The window adjacent to Box Properties (6730 Magnolia Ave., Riverside) in the Brockton Arcade has been painted with an attractive historic mural depicting the arcade in 1956. Several of the stores shown in the painting are still present and in operation. It was painted by Christine Curry (@cc_painter) in 2010 and is mentioned in a 2012 article in the Press Enterprise.
On the side of Mountain View Elementary School (6180 Streeter Ave., Riverside) is an attractive mural with a fruit crate theme and featuring an image of a mountain (possibly Mt. Roubidoux) and a road runner, the school mascot. It is unsigned but I understand that it was done by Murals for Schools (@muralsforschools) and likely executed by their artist Tom Seibert. Ramona High School (7675 Magnolia Ave., Riverside) has an attractive mural of a ram in front of a snow-covered mountain range above its performing arts center. The mural is unsigned.
The Flamingo Antiques Mall (3784 Elizabeth St., Riverside) exhibits several flamingo-themed murals. The first, a brightly colored mural, was painted by Varraza (@senorjearbear). The second is unsigned and the third is signed with the initials shown.
Lining the fence surrounding Tio's Tacos (3948 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside) are a series of angel, bird or butterfly wings constructed from the metal of repurposed cans. The artist directing the work is Martín Sanchez, the owner of Tio's Tacos.
The first photo shows a new set of wings seen in July 2023. Lugar magico means magical place and Fuente de arte means fountain of the arts.

On the north wall facing Hair Doctors barber shop (3686 Chicago Ave., Riverside) is a striking mural that was painted by YVAL ONE (@vyalone on Instagram) in late 2018. As described by the artist on an Instagram post, "Two minds, two hearts, one soul...".
The front of historic Bryant Elementary School (4324 Third Street, Riverside) has been decorated with a series of attractive murals. The photographs are presented from left to right as one faces the school from north and then east. The murals are unsigned.
Sire Bar and Grill has a new mural located on the side of their building at 6440 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. It is entitled Serving Up Good Times and was painted by Juan Navarro (@luvmonsterz) and is part of the "Beautify Riverside" initiative advocated by Mayor Patricia LockDawson (@mayorlockdawson) and her advisor Philip Falcone (@philipjfalcone) to bring public art to the city.
An attractive liberty-themed mural featuring a bald eagle, an orange, a flag and the Declaration of Independence has been painted on the front of Liberty Elementary School (9631 Hayes St., Riverside) in the Arlington area of Riverside. It was painted by Murals for Schools led by its lead artist Tom Seibert (on Instagram @muralsforschools). Nearby is another mural encouraging student success.
La Reyna Meat Market #2 at 6024 Magnolia Ave., Riverside has several murals, the facing the street depicts rural farm life. Another on the other side of the building depicts a setting with a canal, bridge and large tree. Both indicate that they were painted by Arte Rustico Mexicano.
On the rear of building at 9436 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, near the Stacked Bike Shop is a fun mural advertising for bike repairs. The artist is unknown. Update: I rode by in July 2025 and the mural is no longer there.
