There are different displays around Riverside describing historical buildings or events that occurred within the city. Just off of the Downtown walking mall and adjacent to Citizen's Business Bank (3695 Main St, Riverside, CA) is a display showing photographs of the Loring building which at one point housed Riverside's Opera. The Loring Opera House itself was destroyed by fire in 1990. More information on the building can be found here. The designer of the current display is unknown.

Ben Franklin Elementary School Courtyard Mural
Recently I was able to get inside the fence and get better and more complete photos of the courtyard mural at Ben Franklin Elementary School (19661 Orange Terrace Pkwy, Riverside, CA). I am pretty sure these were painted by Tom Seibert and his group at Murals for Schools @muralsforschools as were the murals that face the street.

Scholarship Prep School Murals
A beautiful mural has been painted at the new Scholarship Prep School (9707 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA) on Magnolia Avenue. Construction is still occurring at the school so I had to take these photos from the adjacent sidewalk. I was told the school will be open on Aug. 11 so one will likely be able to get closer photos then. According to an Instagram post, the artist was Brian Peterson @brianpetersonart and the mural was completed in 4 days - pretty amazing.
